渋谷慶一郎
keiichiro shibuya
音楽家。1973年生まれ。東京芸術大学作曲科卒業。
2002年にATAK設立。音楽レーベルとして国内外の先鋭的な電子音響作品をCDリリースするだけではなく、デザイン、ネットワークテクノロジー、映像など多様なクリエーターを擁し、精力的な活動を展開。
2004年にリリースした自身初のソロアルバム「ATAK000 keiichiro shibuya」は音色とリズムにフォーカスした徹底的に緻密な構成と豊穣なサウンドにより「電子音楽の歴史のすべてを統べる完璧な作品」と評され評価を決定的なものとした。
現在までに作曲家・高橋悠治や複雑系研究／東京大学教授・池上高志らと分野を横断する共同作業を継続的に展開しており、池上高志とは2005年末に東京オペラシティ内のICC（インターコミュニケーションセンター）で共同制作したサウンド・インスタレーション作品の発表と非線形物理学の応用による変化と運動の音楽理論「第三項音楽」の研究発表／コンサートを行ったのを皮切りに旺盛な活動を開始。音楽／科学を横断する本格的なコラボレーションとして大きな注目を集めている。
2006年には三次元立体音響とLEDを駆使したサウンド・インスタレーション作品“filmachine”を山口情報芸術センター(YCAM)で発表。
2007年にはそのCDバージョンとして音像の縦移動を含む世界初のヘッドフォン専用・三次元立体音響CD“ATAK010 filmachine phonics”を発表。これらによって2007年度アルスエレクトロニカ・デジタルミュージック部門でHonorary mention受賞。
2008年には毎年ベルリンで開催されている世界最大のテクノロジーアートのフェスティバルであるトランスメディアーレでfilmachineの発表、及びコンサートを行う。 また、国際交通安全学会の依頼により歩行者横断用信号の音楽の作曲も手がけ、銀座交差点で実道実験を行い大きな話題となった。
2009年にはヨーロッパ、アジア数カ国から日本に渡るATAK NIGHT4ツアーを刀根康尚、池田亮司、Pansonicらと共に行う。
同年9月には初のピアノソロ・アルバム「ATAK015 for maria」を発表。
2010年には相対性理論とのコラボレーションによるCD「アワーミュージック 相対性理論＋渋谷慶一郎」を発表、コンサートも行う。その後も荒川修作のドキュメンタリー映画のサウンドトラックを手がけるなど旺盛な活動を行う。
現在までに東京大学、東京芸術大学などの非常勤講師も勤める。

Keiichiro Shibuya
Musician. Born in Tokyo, 1973. He graduated with a degree in composition from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music. In 2002, heestablished ATAK, which functions not only as a music label, releasing CDsof domestic and overseas cutting-edge electroacoustic works, but alsoembraces creators in various fields such as design, network technology andso on, as well as being a kind of "platform" to develop dynamic new work.Later, in 2002, Keiichiro Shibuya was involved in the commemoration CD offounding of Mori Art Museum.
In 2003, he released a CD ATAK002 keiichiro shibuya + yuji takahashi incollaboration with Yuji Takahashi, a Japanese composer/pianist. Later in2003 ATAK made a domestic concert tour with Icelandic stilluppsteypa. In2004, he released his first solo album ATAK000 keiichiro shibuya. His densecomposition in that he drastically focused in sound material (color) andrhythm, was described as "a perfect work that rules over the history ofelectronic music" (Atsushi Sasaki).
Shibuya has been continuing collaboration with Yuji Takahashi(composer/pianist, Takashi Ikegami (complex system researcher/ associateprofessor at Tokyo University) . In 2005 Shibuya and Ikegami started their collaboration as they exhibited a sound installation work at ICC (Inter Communication Center of Tokyo Oprera City) and made a concert-style presentation to unveil the The Third Term Music, a music theory of sound variation and the motion dynamics based on nonlinear sciences.
Last year he worked for a pedestrian crossing signal music project as anelectroacoustic specialist as well as working as a musician forInternational Association of Traffic and Safety Sciences; for the project hecomposed music from the viewpoint of urban design in place of thepreviously-used melody "Toryanse".
His album ATAK010 filmachine phonics (2007) and the 3-dimensional installation filmachine (2006), made together with Takashi Ikegami, were awarded honorary mention in the digital music division at Ars Electronica in 2007. The installation was shown at the club transmediale. 08 also there was a partner event at Tesla/Podewil'sches Palais. Moreover, the presentation offilmachine in Tokyo is already decided for March 2008. Currently, he worksas an adjunct professor at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts andMusic.
