Composer Keiichiro Shibuya, who explores the boundaries between technology and humanity, made his debut at Blue Note Tokyo, presenting a one-night-only special session.

This performance featured his first collaboration in seven years with Naruyoshi Kikuchi, along with exceptional musicians joining Shibuya for the first time: Ren Yamamoto, known for his work supporting LAGHEADS, Suchmos, and Fujii Kaze, on bass, and Masanao Matsushita, recognized for his diverse activities with Gentle Forest Jazz Band, Yasei Collective, and MAKARA, on drums. The group performed Shibuya’s original compositions and cover songs in a jazz quartet format, including a duo rendition of his acclaimed film score Midnight Swan with Kikuchi.

The evening also included free-form sessions that defied conventional expectations, making it a special live event to mark the end of the year.
