Last year, the immersive sound installation “filmachine,” collaboratively created with complex systems researcher and associate professor Takashi Ikegami from the University of Tokyo at the Yamaguchi Center for Arts and Media, gained significant attention. This event will reflect on the comprehensive aspects of the work, and will also feature a premiere listening session for the new CD “filmachine phonics,” which reimagines the acoustic space for headphone playback. The session is limited to the first 80 attendees and will include a discussion on the potential intersections of space and music.
