The collaboration with Carsten Nicolai, who bridges art and natural science and aims for the extremes of perception, has been a great source of inspiration for ATAK. By deconstructing musical structures and focusing on the smallest elements that make up music—such as attack and timbre—Slipped Disk (Keiichiro Shibuya + Maria) brings forth a unique combination of acoustic complexity and powerful groove. This aligns closely with the direction that Carsten Nicolai’s work explores, making this event a fitting collaboration.
On the night, you can enjoy a special live performance by Carsten Nicolai and Slipped Disk (Keiichiro Shibuya + Maria) tailored for the dancefloor.
Additionally, a pre-release sale of Slipped Disk’s first album, which will be officially released nationwide on November 28th, will also take place.
As we anticipate a large crowd, starting from October 12th, we are accepting priority reservations via email at info@atak.jp.
