“MICUSRAT” Symposium organized by the Agency for Cultural Affairs

2023 Aug

Keiichiro Shibuya to Participate in the “MICUSRAT” Symposium Sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs on August 18th

The Agency for Cultural Affairs is launching a new project, “MICUSRAT – Loves music and art –,” to promote Japan as a global hub for cultural and artistic expression through collaborations and dialogues with internationally renowned artists. Kicking off with an international symposium on August 18th (Friday) at the Osaka City Central Public Hall, art installations and exhibits will be held in collaboration with the music festival “Summer Sonic” at both Osaka and Makuhari New City venues.

The highlight of this project is the international symposium “MICUSRAT – Loves music and art – presents SYMPOSIUM,” which will feature a diverse range of guests from both Japan and abroad. This event, divided into six segments from Episode #000 to #005, will see internationally acclaimed artists, musicians, architects, and curators discussing the “new value” of cultural arts, its global outreach from Japan, and its connection with global trends. Unlike typical symposiums, this event will introduce a sound system that creates a unique auditory experience, integrating music and discussion. This “immersive” live experience will present the symposium itself as a live artwork.
