Keiichiro Shibuya will be responsible for composing the entire soundtrack, including the main theme, for the NHK Special “On the Edge – Rinkai Sekai”, a major documentary series commemorating NHK’s 100th anniversary in 2025.

With the world population surpassing 8 billion and continuing to grow, extreme weather events intensifying, AI technology advancing rapidly, and wars persisting without end, even established systems such as capitalism and democracy are beginning to falter. This documentary series portrays the current state of deepening chaos as a “critical world” (Rinkai Sekai).
