“ATAK027 ANDROID OPERA MIRROR” Release Commemoration Event to be Held at RITTOR BASE on Thursday, February 20

Experience the first-ever “Android Opera” album with a special live performance and track-by-track commentary by the artist himself.

Since 2017, Keiichiro Shibuya has been touring worldwide with his Android Opera, and now, its first-ever album, ATAK027 ANDROID OPERA MIRROR, is set to be released on Friday, February 21. Android Opera is a theatrical production in which an AI-powered android merges with opera—one of the most human-centric art forms—and performs alongside an orchestra. For this album release, Shibuya has reconstructed every element, including the orchestra, piano, electronic sounds, and vocals. Most of the lyrics sung by the android were generated by GPT, and unlike traditional human-performed orchestras, this album features an artificial orchestra accompanying the android’s singing to depict various simulations of the end of the world. The only human performance in the album is Shibuya’s piano, serving as a metaphor for the last human confronting the end of the world.

To celebrate the album release, a special event will be held on Thursday, February 20, the day before its official launch, at RITTOR BASE in Ochanomizu. Attendees will have the chance to experience the album’s high-resolution audio through RITTOR BASE’s premium sound system while Shibuya provides a track-by-track commentary and performs selected pieces from the album on synthesizer.

With only 40 seats available, this exclusive event at RITTOR BASE offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in cutting-edge sound, live performance, and talk.
